They dont bite - dont bother, expensive to keep for two reasons, electric bill and food. Buying fresh insects every week from the pet shop gets to be a bit of a drag.
Settle with a Corn Snake if he really wants a reptile..
Have had Dragons in the past, luckily they were stolen in a burgulary (honest) and I was chuffed........

I would suggest doing some reading up on these and thinking very seriously before getting one
Perhaps have a look on google for sites containing all the info you want to know
I would love one, but I really don't fancy the idea of feeding it live crickets, I hate crawly things *shudder*
Corn snake is a good recommendation though

Here is my bearded dragon named Dennis. He's 14 months old and i've had him from a baby. He feeds on locusts and worms for a treat and a fresh salad and water everyday. I buy the live food online as its cheaper (4 boxes for £7.00) He is very friendly and has never bit me. I got him from a reptile specialist shop in Bovingdon. My dad made his enclosure as they are expensive to buy. Any other questions do not hesitate to ask. I think they make a GREAT pet

certainly beat a hampster dont they , never had a bearded dragon but did have a iguana (nearly 5 foot) and a monitor lizard , the iggy was ok easier to look after as he ate fruit but the monitor only ate live things or dead mice ect ect and wouldn,t let anyone else pick him up , one of the best placid lizards you could own as a pet is a water dragon , do do really have to look after them properly though ie , the food , tank , and its quite important that the temp and lights in the habitat is controlled via thermostat / timers and even the correct uv lights for day/night , too many people buy these and dont look after them properly..........but they are great exotic pets........
