Hi all

Got my new PC up and running reasonably ok, thanks to everyone who e-mailed me with help and advice - THANKS!

Now, another 3 posers for you smart a4ses!!

1. The graphics card has an S-Video output and a composite o/p. Am I correct in assuming that the Composite o/p ONLY takes the signal (ie. I would need to get the sound out to my TV also? by some other means?)

2. Does anyone know of anywhere to get a suitable cable to run from the PC to TV (about 7 metres away!!). Do they do an S-Video lead that long? should I just run 1 video and 2 phono cables??

3. My favourite game F22 ADF (from 1998 I think) runs fine on Windows 98 - it crashes on Windows XP ................. anyone got it to work??

Both S-Vid and composite are picture only so yes need to run the line out of the sound acrds either to amp or the tele

Specialist AV places (e.g. seven oaks sound and vision) should be able to sort you oa cable if the comets/currys etc cant help. The longer the cable the more you need a decent one. My DVD/Amp is about 5m from the TV so I have a few cables running .... Ideally you want a decent scart to S-Video/2 x Phono. My local PC World has a reasonable range of that sort of cable - but at the cheaper end of the scale.

Havent got that game or XP so not much help there

Normally games are no chance, either you can find a patch from the game developer or at a long shot use the '98 compatiablity mode in XP.
