DIY metalworking forums ?
Does anyone know of any such forums ?
I'm specifically looking to see if there is such a drill bit accessory that claps onto a short length of tube, so it can be worked on etc while spinning on the end of the drill.

Polish the outside of these ali tubes, and be able to bore them out slightly
there are many og them, all 50mm OD and ~45mm ID, 20-40mm tubes
I mananegd to buy this arbour from halfords that will do the first job.
In fact to polish them you have the option of spinning the polish wheel or actual tube. The benefit of spinning the tube is I van also sant them first.
So the quest continues to find something that i can use to bore them out with

you need access to a lathe with a 3 jaw chuck......grip the outer wall first to bore out, then grip the inner wall with the extended jaws to let you skim the outer and then polish.

As above. You'll be doing well top bore them out accurately without a lathe, and any tool sharp enough to cut some alloy is also sharp enough to cut fingers, so holding the tube AND the tool firmly is your No 1 problem.
Do you know anyone with a lathe? Or look in YP under engineering.......
