puts a new light on all our lives. it makes us see that we realy are lucky and that we bitch and moan about such trivial things. life is for the living. count yourself lucky you have a life to live. because there are alot of people in the world who dont have a life like we do and never will. (imho)

If everyone in the developed world gave 1% of their income to those in the developing world it would be possible to eradicate poverty.
Two thirds of the world has never seen a phone.
A child dies every nine seconds due to poverty (typically to provide clean water and food)
I am not saying right or wrong however they are powerful statistics.
To make a difference you don't need to welcome anyone into your home. These are real people like you and me and would much prefer to have a little bit of land they can farm, or a business they can develop. They don't want charity, they desperately need support.
The worst for me are the AIDS pictures, a 'punishment' according to some on here, but to see children dying of AIDS, in part, because of a lack of political acceptance by Governments.

You are merely confirming that you keep you paranoid head in the sand
PS the photographer works for Time magazine, which when I last checked was not a socialist vessel.

The AIDS thing is because it is acceptable for the men to **** anything that moves ................. something we have grown out of (even though lots of the kiddies on SN would like it to be like that - or so they say!)

Is it right we should condemn a child to die in agony because of western moral judgements on their parents behaviour they cannot possibly understand?

Thats not what I said .. I explained why it happened - and there are westerners there trying to explain it.
But, of course, the men want to continue ******** everything they can so deny that it is the problem and they will not wear condoms even if given free ....... they need to take SOME responsibility for themselves!

Why should I invite them into my home? I much rather contribute to improve the situation in poverty stricken areas of Africa, the Middle East and India to help people help themselves.
And if you can't see the relevance you are even more blinkered than you seem.

**** i thought i was skinny then realised iam not!!! its a real shame and it makes us think how lucky we are!!!!!
i went away travelling around the world for 1.5 years came back home and what shocked me the most was when i eventually started going out on the town i could see lots of women with designer handbags especially those shi* ugly brown ones with the Lv on them and their well overpriced about £300-£400 thats so materialistic and yet theres so much suffering out there and women are spending lots of money on a handbag!!!! and people could live for a half year on that i dont think people here have a grip on reality or the value of money!!
just to add i bought a pair of diesel jeans b4 i left i dont usually pay that much but wanted something descent just incase...their supposed to be good right? they cost £70 they faded quickly and creased very easily i then paid £3 for a pair in thailand (copy) they fit better and have not faded at all!!!
i still have the pair from Thailand and soon binned the diesels they were done!!and ive still got my thailand jeans from 3 years ago lol.....my point why spend all that money when at the end of the day its a pair of trousers...does it make you a better person hell no!!!does a handbag make you a better person not as far as i know!!! i just find materialistic people have no idea about how the other half live!!!
i just find people in this country judge you by what you have and wear and if you have the latest mobile phone and theres people suffering out there who would just want to be healthy or have a job!!!or have something to eat.
