My car is part paid for by a loan, but im only 18 so thats my excuse

I dont understand why people curse credit so much, it helps so many people out, like myself, and helps you build urself up in life, without paying for everything straight out in full, you get it faster, and build ur way up the ladder!

I'm looking at getting a scoob VERY soon.
I'm 25, got a morgage and a girlfriend to look after. I've got £7000 so far but don't know if it is worth getting in debt (for the first time ever) to get a blobeye STI

Same as myself (18 too); albeit my scoob was £4k and yours being a new age I'd say was that little bit more :P

Yep borrowed some money to buy STi, as did for my WRX before that. Also as I did with the loan on the WRX, it will be paid off early (or that's the plan anyway)

Paid cash for my last Impreza, am going to lease an Sti this summer...... Only done one lease so far, and by the summer I shall have two cars on lease.

The point to consider about leasing or getting a loan, even if you have the cash, is that if you can get a good enough deal on the finance, you could use the cash to earn you more money than you are paying out..... It might not equate to much, but IMO it's always best to take advantage of attractive finance rates and keep the cash earning you a return.

Bit of 0% finance left on mine.

Will never ever pay for the pleasure of a car loan again.

Loan interest + depreciation = Suicide.

A loan is a good thing if the APR is cheaper than the interst / returns you can earn from the cash..........

Take some time to read through:

MoneySavingExpert: Consumer Revenge - Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap Flights and more

I've been a card tart for a couple of years now. If you make absolutely sure you stick to the advice and don't go mental you'll be able to take advantage of some really good deals.

I didn't buy my car in this way but I did my house up last year and got the money to do so from this method so it was 1 or the other really.

People worry about being in debt but its because they default that they need to worry. Keep up the payments as with everything in life and it can allow you to get what you want much sooner.

It doesn't matter how much the car costs, it means they're living within their means.
