Best way for high returns investing £20k???
I have some moneys just lying around doing nothing in 6 months bonds in the bank. a £20k bond has just matured and im getting like 4% return.
Is there any better way i can invest this money to get a higher return over a period of up to say, 3 years?

When the hell is USD going to recover - I've got UDS's sitting on poker accounts that I don't want to transfer back over yet because of the pathetic exchange rate!

3k - mini cash ISA - 5.8% from National Savings (tax free)
17k into ICICI at 5.65% (no penalty to withdraw until A&L)
Watch interest rates rocket over the next 3 years, sit back and watch the interest flow in!

Pete - Heard a few dodgy things about ICICI so sticking with someone I know (sort of).
Right hassle to open an acount though with all this anti money laundering cr4p.

Pete - Still not committed but don't know if I can be bothered to go through the ID checks again!
Looked at Icesave but again, wasn't 100% confident.
The "non drawing out" penalty at A&L might actually be quite handy tbh!

Go down to the Bookies and put £20k on the Winner ........ you simply cannot fail
I did this once in a Bookies - I asked the girl behind the desk if I could put £10 on the Winner please .... she said of course sir - which race?
I said 'any' ...... at which point the manager stepped in and stopped me mopping up
