Lots of surf down here...
Of zero interest to most of the board (but then so is choosing a kettle or some of the other stuff!) but there's been a LOT of surf around down here!
Head and a half high and heavy yesterday - Quite hard work.
Much nicer today - Head high, cleaner and lots of fun.
Two hours of constant paddling yesterday, three hours in today - Shoulders have launched an official complaint!
Sorry to all the non surfers...

Bootsy - A bit further North.
Live near Truro so it's usually Porthtowan, but when sheltered spots are needed (like today) it's St Agnes, Newquay Bay or in NWerly winds, Praa Sands.
Very handy location here for getting to class breaks - Today was Great Western in Newquay.
Sennen gets very nice indeed but a bit far from here.
Not surfed Cromer but heard it gets quite good in the right conditions.

Constantine off of Trevose head.
Nearly knocked my self out last time I was on a board.
Decided I was better at activities under the water instead of on it after that.
Better still is that I have a tan for a change, beats Christmas in this cold wet gale ridden ****hole.

Fuzz - Constantine's a bit further South than Trevose Head (nearest break to TH is Mother Iveys) - Wicked break though with reef and beach break options.
Had some great waves there in the past.
Yesterdays surf mostly took place under water as yet another heavy set wave crashed on our heads!

I used to stay at Mother Iveys a lot..
Ok the actual head of trevose head is between the two with the light house on it. Mother Iveys doesn't get the wind in it as it's too sheltered in the cove with the lifeboat.
A five min walk from Mother Iveys straight across the headland brought you out into boobies bay, surfing there excellent however the chance of dying highly likely as it's too rocky.
Once the rocks stop further south That's Constentine, fecking great expanse of beach always on the windward side.. Rollers to die for.
Next place North that was half about was Harlyn bay..

Andy - I grew up around that area (from 14) after holidaying there since I was a baby.
Very nice indeed and now about £1/2m for a very small house there!
Boobies can get very nice but lots of people surf it.
Bit quieter down here in West Cornwall and we get a bit more swell (Sennen gets a hell of a lot).
All very nice though, especially tonight as the sun set!

Same here Mattee,
From before I was born the parents used to go to mother Iveys and drag me along every year after. I used to hang about the with the cool lads that always stayed in the caravan right next to the shop. lol
We were too stingy and had a tent.
It was around about the time it all changed hands and they moved the entrance that we stopped going. (the old days it was just a tatty old caravan at the gate and if you were lucky you could sneak in at night, pitch up and not get charged.
Been back a few times since for nostalgias sake and it's a bit upmarket now, hardly recognise the place.

Andy - If we're a similar age (I'm 31) we probably stayed at the same time!
Used to go there when I was little, then did a few years South Coasting it (nr Mevagissey) then switched to Treyarnon Bay.
Soon decided that we should just move there instead so we did!
Spent the final years of my secondary education at Wadebridge Comp - Rather a large shock after a few years at RGS Guildford in Surrey!

I was wondering the same.. 33
If I was on the beach I'd be in a hole deeper than myself or jumping into the sea off the big rock in the middle of the beach...
I loved it when the sand level was low between the two beaches as there was a massive rock pool we all used to mess about in.
Ahhhh memories of that place...

RobBBB - Polzeath is probably your best bet. Nice safe beach but gets plenty of swell.
Surfs Up is the biggest but there are othets.
Newquay has plenty but it's generally minging.
North Devon (Woolcacombe) is also a good bet and might be nearer.
