McNaught Comet
Did anyone see it over the past few days ??
1st clear evening we've had this evening so im popping out for a look although it's not supposed to be so bright today but should be back tomorrow
To be found on the horizon in the SW between 16.30-17.00 and can be seen with the naked eye.

I saw it for the first time this evening, just after the sun had gone below the local horizon (about 16:35 where I was).
It was about 5 degrees to the left of the sun, and I would have expected it to pass out of sight itself very soon after the sun. Pretty much lost in the sunset now, a few days ago it would have been more impressive because it could be seen when the sky was a lot darker.
This was possibly the brightest comet for at least 30 years, some reports are suggesting that it is actually a daylight object if you stand in the shadow of a building and know where to look.

Will be having a look for this tonight - even popped the binos in the car "just in case the sky is clear enough".
