if the lovely Kent police have operation stack in place, how do you get to the eurotunnel terminal ?

Guess the weather has meant freight diverted onto the tunnel then.

Depends which direction you're coming from but you could take the A20 in which will then take you to the Tunnel. At least that's what I did last time stack was in force.

I was under the impression that they only closed ONE lane for operation Stack? Or two out of three?

Otherwise, they've effectively shut the tunnel?

Anyway, I'm sure a phone call to Kent Police will put you right..........

They close the entire motorway southbound and park trucks on two of the lanes. However the motorway then reopens at the tunnel junction to allow cars access to Eurotunnel.

The motorway remains open northbound and it is an incredible sight to drive north and have mile after mile of parked HGV on the other carriageway. It takes some believing as to how many trucks queue to go across the channel in such a short time. Mind you if you live that way and use the M20 to commute you're probably not so impressed!
