Whoops! I am in loads of trouble I trod on my old mans laptop unfortunately it was me that left it on the floor in the first place so I can't even blame him for that!! Any ideas on a replacement? I know it will be pricy but I can't think of any other option

It is a Toshiba Portege 3010ct so if anyone has any good ideas or has an old one for sale please let me know! The best I can find so far is $450 for a screen so no christmas pressies for my girl friend now!!

I've got some phone numbers for laptop spares on my contacts list at work. As well as the official Tosh spares (ie expensive!), I've got a contact for a place that does pulls that might be able to help.

They are listing a second user 3010ct screen in stock, you have to phone for the price though.

Definitely sound like a claim on the household contents insurance would be the best plan.

thanks, the notebooks.co.uk one is £325! they will hold it for today it seems alot but I doubt if they come any cheaper?

My company have numerous Toshiba Portege 3110's (differnt model I think to the one you trod on). In my experience replacement screens cost about £495 inc VAT from Action Computer Supplies. They can be found at www.action.com.
