Hi there guy's,

sister wants a cookery book for Xmas what is the best one for modern cuisine?

Delias too old fashioned and I personally would rather not contribute to mockney Jamie oliver's coffers.

Is there a better alternative for those in the know?

Thanks

Adrian

Basically she wants new ideas - non-traditional, newish or recipies from other cultures perhaps.

Thumbs up

Zoog,

Gordon Ramsay - A chef for all seasons, or

Nigel Slater - Appetite

Both are excellent! Gordon Ramsay is a genius, even if you think he's a prat

Nigella gets another vote from me. Gary Rhodes is good, but they tend to be a bit 'faffy'.

Just avoid the mockney to$$er at all costs .......

Le Repitoure de la cuisine or larrouse gastronomic are very good from a professional aspect or personally Jamie Oliver or Rick Stein just don’t follow satan’s path (aka delia)
