Police interview transcripts reveal the brilliance of a San Francisco bank robber. In a bid to rob the Bank of America, he walked into the branch and wrote on a payment slip :"This iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag."

However, as he queued he began to worry that someone may have seen him write the note, and so he left the bank and crossed the street to Wells Fargo. After queuing again he handed his note to a teller who, guessing from the spelling that he was not very bright, told him that she could not accept his stick up note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip.

"OK" said the criminal mastermind, and he left to go back across the street. The Wells Fargo cashier called the police who then arrested him at the Bank of America where he was back in the queue for a cashier.
