That Mig is an outstanding machine-they have certainly learned how to get high lift at low speed and also the use of vectored thrust.
The dolly pilot was pretty impressive, one can see that she is well ahead of the game and an extremely capable aerobatic pilot.
I'd give a lot to get my hands on those aircraft, and the young lady is nice too

The forward travel of the mig through the vertical / forward maneuvers must be astronomical, The balance between lift/ motion/ and gravity, must be right on the limits..
Not to keen on the small plane, but agreed they make it look so easy, mind you with the snap type turns, surley that must put additional stresses on the airframe. must be supremely confidant of there equipment!

Yes it does Mart, we were forbidden to do Flick rolls with the Chipmunk and the Jet Provost eventually because of the twisting strain it puts on the wings. We used to do the "Porteous" manouevre which was a flick roll at the top of a loop or a stall turn which looked amazing from the ground but they stopped us in the end.
Those modern aerobatic aircraft are stressed to remarkably high G limits though and will take all that in their stride. I would not be worried in that respect anyway.
As far as the Mig is concerned, you can get incredible lift from the vortices off the leading edges of the wings at low speeds with that type of wing plan profile. This is also demonstrated very well by the Mirage and the Concorde, and the Vulcan for that matter, but the vectored thrust really does the business as well!
