I've had a two and now got a three. They unscramble the signal without the need of a subscription or card and you just get free tv.

They can't be blocked either.

WOn't be long before the thread's taken off

But they are reliable - only on cable tho. They are pre-programmed with new firmware which allows you to scan the broadcast channels from your local cable co and watch them. They have an auto-update feature which keeps updating the code regularly and rumours are the cable co's know you have one but ideally you should have a minimum subscription. To completely disable a box they'd need to re-jig their whole system so up till now they're lumbered!

I do know of a supplier who can supply for £130 if anybody wants a reliable source - just PM me.

cheers

The only difference is cosmetic, the three is meant to have better software but I couldn't tell the difference. I only upgraded due to it having a full working EPG. In the end it was just the same as the old EPG.
Thankfully now, both have updated software and you can get a full EPG in all area's.

Don't pay around £140 for one though, I'll search for the place I bought mine from and i'll pm you the link

i'm with nthell and for the next week i'm still on analogue - next tuesday they're swapping to digital so i'll lose the free channels i have with my modified analogue box.
If i bought 1 of these will it just plug in and what channels would i get (movies/ sports/ etc)?

If anyone could pm me a link to where i could buy 1 from i'd be grateful

Cheers

AFAIK it will just plug straight in, and you will get basically around 230 channels or more, all movies, sports and adult channels
