Why the **** does it need ?
To have a police convoy of god knows how many vehicles just to take the man from the killings up north, it's not as if there are going to be loads of people trying to free him for foofs sake, they are just showboating if you ask me 
waste of money

There was a high profle case at Newcastle Crown Court ,it was the guys,who shot that WPC in Bradford.
I was driving under the Tyne Bridge as the Police convoy came though.
2 Motorbikes at the front.
3 traffic cars following.
2 meat wagons with the accused in.
4 more traffic cars behind.
followed by 3 Motor bikes.
And the Helicopter above.
I was caught up in this 2 days running.

I think they obviously have set procedures for high profile cases. As I tried to insinuate, before I was rudely interrupted, the protection for some of these cases in not to stop them escaping, it's to probably to protect them.
