House shortages? Rubbish
I really don't understand all this alleged house shortage rubbish.Something like 160,000 being built and 250,000 needed (or something)
Reason? I have never seen so many houses for sale in the papers,on Rightmove etc and For Sale boards seem more common than Christmas trees...everywhere (presumeably except London)
So whats wrong with all these spare houses? There are LOADS of properties out there
Is it another fib to keep bigging up the UK economy(the one that lives on weird house prices and Debenhams store cards)

How many illegal immigrants/dubious asylum seekers that live in houses/flats? What would happen to those properties if they were gone? Oh, I know, how about using them to free up some of the housing *shortage* .....
