Mobile Phone upgrade time...
Currently have a Nokia 6230i but im finding that it's secondary use as an MP3 player a bit limited (music player is a bit pant's & making playlists is a bind) ...any recommendations? (preferably Nokia/Sony)

I've still got my K750i, had it about two years now. Still works fine, looks good and has all the features I need. I'd stick with Sony Ericsson's too now (second one i've had). Plus they seem to be advertising their phones as 'music phones' which is what you seem to use it for, have a look at their range.

I have just moved from Nokia 6230i and several Nokias before that to the Sony K800i.
Must say although early days I am loving the phone and its features and they have definately been made more user friendly with the menus etc.
Plus 3.2m pixel camera is quality.

Ill second that.... w810 is very good all round and very nice as mp3 player.
W800 is the predecessor and one would not really see any diference apart from mostly the keypad layout.
K750 and w800= same phone but running diferent firmware (w800 comes standard with 512mb card and can be used as mp3 player only (flight mode)..... alot of k750's have been converted to w800 now days.

Sorry to hijack, but also on the same type of topic.... Are there any good phones coming out in the next few months? Got an N70 (which tbh, has been OK, but just a little slow) but would be looking for something else.....

If you like Nokias and you don't mind a couple of months wait theres the N95 coming out in february.
Its basically symbian software just like the other N series phones with MP3, 3Mp camera, yada yada yada...... and GPS!!!!!
Sounds great and I'll let you know just how good it is in March

As for the N95, its a nice bit of kit but no doubt will have its initial share of bugs..... would of been tempted for one on my next upgrade but now days if it has so many functions and a html browser it must also have a querty keyboard and a touch screen

This may have been the one I was thinking about with the honest comments:
"Capable but ugly messaging smartphone running Windows Mobile."
"A very cheap phone that belongs in 2003, not the present day."

I've got a Sony Ericsson K610i , after years of Nokias these are miles better phones.
Just choose carefully 'cause they're forever changing the memory stick format. The 610i uses tiny M2 memory sticks.

I got an N80 after having an N70, really pleased with it, the screen is amazing, can be a bit slow navigating but its fine.
Go for the N95 if you can get one, 5 mp camera !

I really liked my old LG 8120 flip, not many features and the camera was crap, also, you had to keep clean shaven as the screen used to (painfully) trap stubble !
