What to buy in Dubai?
A long weekend in Dubai coming up - what are the shopping bargains / scams to look out for over there?

Other goods, such as clothing, I found to be as expensive as the UK.

Don't like Rolex - I'm a Tag man - and already got several of those.

I came back from there on Saturday. My wife has 6 nephews and nieces she buys presents for every time we go away. She managed to find 6 singing camels in a Souk near the Spice Souk, which cost 25 dirhams for all 6. We found the same product in the airport ofr 35 dirhams each. There are around 6.8 Dirham to the pound at present.
Gold is cheap as long as you don't usually shop in Argos, the people behind us on the plane reckoned it was cheaper in Argos!
Spices etc are cheap in the Spice Souk.

I haven't been through Dubai for a good while now. Can you look at the Rolex prices for me? Might be going over there soon and want to know if it's worth getting one there instead of here.
