Dunhill lighter
Does anyone own a Dunhill?
I've had mine for several years, and would regularly get it serviced it at Dunhill on Jermyn Street. However now I'm in the US I have to courier it to Dunhill New York for servicing, which after a few years will be getting expensive at over $150 a time with the postage!!
Trying to find ways to learn how to service / repair them myself if anyone has any tips / sites / books, please.....

now that is funny.....paying $150 for a SERVICE on the lighter that you use to give yourself terminal illnesses.
thats like having a TIffany & Co voice box when your throat packs up!

My first one I inherited from my Great Aunt, and it would have only been worth about a hundred pounds at that time as it had had a lot of use and was quite old. I lost that one, unfortunately! Sadly I never got my hands on my Grandfathers lighter that he had in North Africa in WWII.
My current one I bought about four, maybe five years ago and I remember it being around 240 pounds.
They start around 180 pounds and go on to several hundred.......
It's hard to find anywhere on the net that will give you a run down of servicing techniques, and I don't want it blowing up in my hands!!!
