Default Must Have Christmas Gifts

May be a bit early for a Christmas thread, but my neighbours are all putting their lights and decorations up today.

There are still people camping outisde the local Best Buy electronics store waiting for the re-stock of PS3's, most likely to try and sell in on eBay for $7500....

The TMX Elmo toy is being sold for four times it's price on eBay.... Has the world gone mad?

Why do people subscribe to the "must-have" idea, and allow cleverish marketing, and low distribution, to send them over the edge? It's not a new phenomenon, I know, but......

Anyway, what is at the top of peoples lists this year, apart from the obvious?

I'm angling for a new exhaust for my Jeep....

I don't understand it, with the 360, too, by creating the high demand / low supply, the manufacturers are guaranteed to sell the initial stocks, and create loads of publicity. However, there are people making thousands from this situation, and much like ticket touts, I think it's a crass way to make an easy buck. Surely a higher retail price initally would make most sense, or just to have plenty of stock???

Just checked that on Amazon, looks like a laugh! Plenty of weird phone calls to be made with that on!
