Sky Question
Is it possible to split the signal before it goes into the Sky Box so I can set up another Sky Box for my PC. Not too hot on the technology. In other words 1 dish serving 2 Sky Boxes.

It certainly can be done a quad lnb is what you need for starters, but your sky card is married to one box only so you cannot chop and change.

As above, you can't just split the signal. You need a dual (or quad) LNB and run the 2nd cable from the dish. Which will give two entirely seperate signals.
BTW: the LNB is the bit that goes on the end of a dish, a dual version is like two LNBs combined into one, a quad is four LNBs combined into 1 etc.
Easy job, and they are pretty cheap.
Now, knowing how to get round the extra £10 would be handy
