He's doing it because a) he wants to be elected leader of NL thus Prime Minister, b) he wants to be elected leader of NL thus Prime Minister and c) he wants to be elected leader of NL thus Prime Minister ....... Think sit will go down well with the NL unwashed and thinks the *country* has a moral obligation to help these poor people with our tax millions whilst they are sitting on the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world ....
I can see the country will be safe in the hands of Flash .....

Ohn and just seen this: BBC NEWS | UK | Reid and Brown prisons 'split'
"Reid and Brown prisons 'split' - Home Secretary John Reid's bid to bring in tougher sentencing guidelines has reportedly placed him at odds with Gordon Brown.
A letter leaked to the Sunday Times suggests the Treasury is blocking Mr Reid's efforts because it is concerned about extra cost".
Well, don't give £100M to Iraq and there's your money!!!!!!! As has been said - WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We give 100m to one of the most oil rich nations in the world when we cant afford to keep our own NHS running properly?
WTF is the point other than some blatantly obvious poor attempt at some PR by some PM wannabe?
Its the old saying about give a man a fish, he feeds himself for a day, give a man a net, he feeds his family for a year.
Iraq is currently only tapping about 20% of its oil fields, that about 1600 oil wells with potential to produce 3'000'000 barrels per day. America has 521'000 wells producing only 5'800'000 barrels per day.
GB would be better off giving the £100m to develop a few wells which would produce vastly more money that the token £100m to pay for fixing up a bit of rubble.
Of course, that would have to mean that money from their own oil wells actually went back into their economy, and not the pockets of some fat cat westerners...
The world is FUBAR and its pretty sad that the history books will show our generation as the ones that did it
