Saw it last night, well worth the wait.

Daniel Craig was very good as bond albeit that he is blond.

Only annoying thing is that it ended on a cliffhanger, cant wait for the next one.

Eva Green was very nice too

Certainly very different to all the other bonds, more darker.

What did everyone else think?

just because he is blond doesnt mean he isnt very good. i thought it was the best bond for a long time.

good that it ended on a cliff hanger too.

The book is brutal, very graphic and Bond is a nasty killer, so glad he is being played like he was written for a change.

Oh & James Bond as written in the books, has sandy coloured hair.

Saw it this afternoon.

A great way to spend a few hours, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very gritty, not much humour, good action and tension.

Maybe just the moth eaten screen at Soufend but it looked really grainy in parts of the film, did anyone else notice that

Got to be honest here. ive just got back from watching it and for the most of it its bloody awful. Bond is now officially gay , he pouted most of the way through and ran like someone down canal street in manchester playing tick. The girl wasn,t even nice and if you watch carefully in one scene she has no t*ts and another she has massive ones??????????? apart from the action scene,s (which there aren,t enough of) the film was crap. Since when has bond fell in love and were were his gadjets and the car chase. It was poo and i,m well dissapointed

Also, remember this is the Original Bond Film... remade... So I assume that they didnt want him to have better gadgets than he had in the later films.

I've not seen it yet, but its on my list of things to do with my time off.. only heard good things about it (apart from that post above ).

Cheers,
Grant

I'll probably watch James Blonde on dvd.
I don't think it's really worth my £7.
I mean, they're all kind of the same aren't they?

Off to see it this afternoon and am really looking forward to it. I can't remember when Bond has got such good reviews from serious critics before, as much as I love the tounge in cheek aspect and the double entendres, a more "Bourne" Bond really appeals!

(Hopefully!)

It's pretty poor form to discuss the ending to the film with no warning.

Still it's saved me £7, I can skip this one and just go and watch the sequel now!

Has he?

Are you sure?
Where did you read that?
I've read all the originals and I certainly cant remember that.

He's described in one of the books as looking like hoagy carmichael
Who had black hair.

was a bit confused at the ending as i didn't know there be another one tagging on

Apart from the car chases and gadgets that usually make a bond film, i thought it was ok probably i had too many high expectations...

Loved the film and it was faaaaaaaaaaaaar more realistic than recent bonds. No utterly BS technology and the opening scene featured some good free running so very few BS stunts. Just good gritty action and IMHO Daniel Craig is by far the best Bond yet. He doesn't look out of place playing the gentleman and he looks pretty hard when scrapping. Pearce always looks a bit of a sap. I really don't see the relevance of his hair colour. Bond is supposed to be good looking, cool, sophisticated and the tough secret agent type. Craig pulled all that off IMHO.

Thumbs up

Just got back from watching it this evening and myself and the wife thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was clear that this film set out to be that much different to the others - intro (which I thought was poo [as in excrement]), lack of gadgets, lack of car chases - but notwithstanding as those items didn't detract from the overall movie. Very focused on Bond as the stud not the girlies as sex objects (dammit!), so much so that wifey admitted a certain stiring in the nether regions for the current Mr Bond - can't get her stirred normally

Good film and well worth it IMHO

That was NOT a cliffhanger at the end at all, IMO!

Really enjoyed it, although I thought the "baddies" and their roles became a bit blurred, might have to see it again soon.

Thought Daniel Craig pulled it off very well, couldn't understand what people were making a fuss about anyhow, but he was completely natural as Bond.

They could have done with taking away half an hour in the middle in the casino, that felt like a bit of a filler to me, and I love the game!

Top marks in all.......

However, the product placement, especially by Ford, was beyond a joke. Every car in every car park was a Volvo, Jaguar, Lincoln, or other Ford group vehicle. Plus all the Sony gear. And did anyone spot Richard Branson getting the metal wand treatment at Miami airport, a split second pan shot, just before a Virgin 747 flew over the runway chase?

The more I think about it, the better I think the film was. I thought the casino scene had a lot of tension.

I saw some of Brosnans rubbish the other week, with the cars on the frozen lake etc, it was just rediculous, and as for the stupid little "funny" comments that are made!!

So as bonds goes, he is better than Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan.
