Default Anyone here work for Halfords Store / Head office

Need a little help if possible.

I ordered on the 29th October a Kettler Car Nitro Extreme Go Cart for my son.
The order was placed and excepted online.
I then after chasing the oder find out that infact the order was taken but there was no stock I was assured it would be here within a couple of days.

A week later I call again (10 mins waiting for a service advisor) Im told that they are still waiting for them to arrive from there other depo.

I call my local store and they now have one in stock, but at more money. As the one i ordered had 10% off.

I cant belive that im getting all this hasstle from a store that is meant to be a national company.

???????

HELP

Sounds like good old customer service!

Ring up and complain. Tell them you have found one in your local store and due to the hassle you want to collect and get yor 10% still.

I wouldn't know what else to suggest, apart from going in there and kicking the **** out of one of there staff..... but i don't think you get 10% then!

IMHO, Halfords customer service is pretty poor if you go via head office.

I'd take a ride to the store with the stock, and explain your problem to the manager, preferably the actual manager, rather than a duty maager.

NMy betting is that he/she will sort it for you.

I've had FAR better results from store people in halfords than going to their official customer relations bods

i used to work for them. If you kick up a nice big stink towards the head office they will tell the store to give you the one they have in stock and they will just get allocated another one to replace it. You need to get higher up on the phone rather than just the customer service clerks. They have a habbit of fobbing people off. If you get someone resonably important on the phone things will happen very fast.
We used to get it all the time. As long as anyone with any importance decides to get involved you will have the goods straight away.
I've even had to do this myself after i stopped working for them. I left after my manager at the time wouldn't increase my wage as a ripspeed specialist (years back now!!) and so i left and went somewhere that paid a lot better. My battery failed on my car which i had bought there and although under warrenty the wouldn't replace it and said they would refund it if i took it out my car there and then but not sell me another!! (couldn't really do a lot with a car and no battery in there car park!!) i ended up getting through to customer services.. arguing for a while then insisting on getting put through to the head of the csa's department (she transferred the call after a while). I spoke resonably to the manager of the department and she agreed with me and told me to leave it with her and wait in my car. Literally within 5 minutes the manager of the store came straight out with a 20 pound voucher and personally fitted my new battery for me aswell as applogising!.
You just have to be determined and not let them fob you off with excuses.
Good luck

Update:

Got through after 30 mins on hold, and told them that my local store had one in stock. They have now offered £30 off to compensate me for the trouble.
She tells me that she will call back within 20min and get it all sorted with the store.

She then calls me back (within 20 mins) tells me that the one i reserved at the shop (the only one left) cant be found and that they have no recored at the shop of my reservation ......

So another day passes and still no end to the problems.
