hAVE YOU GOT THE DISC and cable the phone came with?

If so install the software then you can save your contact list as a file.

Syncing with Outlook is good (and what I do - k750i and W810i), but make sure your phone contacts are in a seperate contacts folder to your usual email contacts. And once you have backed your phone contacts up to your PC, it's worth making a copy of it in case you accidently delete it.... if you haven't got your sync settings right (i,e, how to deal with duplicates etc.) it is quite easy to wipe everything off your phone/PC when you're messing about.

Depends which email you're using. I've got instructions for gmail. You can use the SE site to send your settings to your phone as well.

Just go into your contacts within Outlook and create a new folder. I use Outlook Express, but works with normal MS Outlook. This is not essential by the way, it's just nice to have a backup in case it all goes pear shaped while synching (speaking from experience )
