Help Me ....
Find a new 36" 100Hz, Widescreen, CRT for Xmas ............ they have disappeared off the face of the earth
If I can find one it will be in some little Electrical Shop, tucked in a corner - unloved - the store owner will practically pay me to remove it!
While all the 'easily led' splash out £1000+ on inferior LCDs and Plasmas, I can sneak in and steal a bargain
Just point me in the right direction ... a SONY, Tosh. or Panny will do just fine.

Pete, I told you last year and I'll tell you again....get a second hand one from someone "upgrading". Our 5 year old Sony 36" for £75 is going strong one year on, and the friend I bought it off (who is very big into his home cinema setup) has been through 5 flat panel TVs in a year because he can't find one with as good a picture. Given it weighs 90kg, people will be glad to be rid of them.

I was going to buy the predecessor to that, but got completely put off by all the reviews here: Samsung WS32Z429TQX replacement for WS32Z409TQX any reviews/comments? - AV Forums and bought the Toshiba instead.
Edit: Updated the link, it looks as though the 429 fixed some of the problems.

Friend of mine just sold his mint, hardly used 36" CRT Sony WEGA jobby with all the bells and whistles. He struggled to get £300 for it so you should have no problem finding one in the small ads or on Ebay and getting a good price Good luck trying to move them though, 100KG and an awkrawd shape is not easy without the original packaging!

Get a decent make of plasma and really enjoy your television. You of all people can afford it anyway. Remember when you look at a plasma you have to stand back about 6-8 feet to get the proper effect. If you are too close you can see the pixels as with any set. The bigger the screen the more marked the effect of course. The picture on my Sony plasma is quite outstanding and makes HD unecessary.

still cant find out the model number.
