Not going to see it. The last 1 was too gimmiky for me.

trivia time: Brosnan was married to which bond girl, and how did she die (in the film)?

The action looks good but I think Flemming did not picture Bond as a rough boxer type

I know this
Cassandra Harris - Ovarian cancer
I think he adopted her kids

Ooops, I can't remember how she died in the film

I thought fleming pictured bond as a bit of a f*ck up(mentally) and slightly alcoholic who wasn't supposed to be as smooth as he came accross in most of the films.

This one seems to be less gimmiky and rawer from what I hear. Maybe how bond was supposed to be in the first place.

I like that he looks a bit rough, Brosnan (and Moore) were too smooth IMO.

Me too!!

If anyone has seen Layer cake Craig has a certain degree of sophisticaion. If you like Bond films you'll go and see it if not you won't. Give the man chance though.

Regards

There's no Q in this one though, so it's meant to have a lot less gadgets / tech stuff.

I will reserve judgement until I see the film. Craig was good in Layer Cake and do think he can pull this off. He did display

Recent bond films have been too gimmicky and unbelieveable. Hopefully this one will have a good realistic storyline and no stupid cars racing on ice or boats racing and jumping along the Thames.

Looking forward to catching it at the cinema - haven't been many films of late that I have wanted to go and see.

84of300 - your standards are too high!

Brosnan was just weak I thought, Dalton was a better Bond IMO. Connery still the best and Roger Moore had a certain caddish/campish charm.

I also think the sophisticated, gentlemen look doesn't really suit the modern world, I welcome the supposedly tougher and more realistic approach that the new movie is supposed to take.

Maybe it's a sign that women will start liking real men again instead of androgenous or effeminate boys.

Not having seen it yet - going on friday (I've got a POETS day ).

One thing that is my bug at the moment is James Bond is terrible british especially in his voice. Having heard Daniel Craig in some interviews he is not what I call "upper Class" as I imagine Bond to be. So unless he changes he voice for the film

Tomorrow never dies:
Brosnan wasn't married to Terri Hatcher but was with her....
Then she got killed by a dodgy german who
"Could shoot you from Stutgart and still create the proper effect...."
