Sky/aerial experts please
I have an existing remote tv working through sky with a tv link so I can use sky in that room, the problem is that I have added another tv to that aerial lead using a Y splitter and the tv link doesn't now work (no problems with picture quality though), if I uplug the additional tv then it does....is there a way round this?????

Try using a signal booster / amp that has the sky link bypass facility.
This maintains the continuity in the remote signal.
This one would be ideal
Shop for 2 Way Aerial Booster. at Argos.co.uk
or similar from flea bay or maplins

OK..bear with me before buying an aerial amp/booster!!
The Sky magic eye works by a 9V signal getting sent down your coax from the Sky box.
Your y-splitter probably has no DC pass through - ie, it won't let this 9V get through. This is easily determined by using a multimeter - ie, it probably has a diode or resistor inside the y-splitter.
Source a y-splitter that allows DC pass through, and you'll be sorted - or take it apart and short the diode/resistor.
