Really, really hard to fly the proper ones. Bloody sight harder than the real thing, in fact.

I've got a £49.99 one that's a laugh but lasts about 3 minutes on a charge. Like all these things it's fun for a bit then the novelty wears off...

Thumbs up

Nip down to Woollies and get a Picco

It is IR (not radio) controlled, but a doddle to fly - both indoors an outdoors.

Twenty five notes well spent

You obviously have bought one of your own - or are you just a ****-stirring ****??

mb
p.s. 20 minutes charge for several-teen minutes of flight, very robust, lots of mods and tweaks available and cheaper at woollies than most inter-web sites

One could be forgiven for agreeing with her, given your toys are usually strewn about your pram.

Maybe you should concentrate on a more wholesome hobby, such as candle making?

I would have thought it was fairly obvious by now that nothing revolves around you my dear. You receive your carefully metered doses of negative attention from me so I can amuse myself watching you gratefully lap it up like a heroin addict slugging down his methadone.

anyone got one of these? If so what are they like?

Plenty of rivals to it by the looks of it but not sure any of them move as well or charge as quickly. Maplin do one similar for £19.99 but don't think it has as good controls and takes longer to charge/less flight time.

My mate has one of these, much much much easier to fly that the proper ones. Plus it doesn't break as easily if you do crash it.

He has this and a proper one, he's crashed the expensive one a few times resulting in breaking rotors and tail booms and stuff - not cheap to fix. But has ony crashed the cheapy once when it caught a gust of wind.

I should add, they don't work well outdoors unless there is zero wind (i.e never).

Saw these for sale in a shop near me. A shop assistant was buzzing one around inside the shop, looked like fun.

Noticed they sold replacement rotors seperately aswell, so I don't know if they are prone to breaking.

The bladerunner is not too bad but not really that controllable, i mean in where you want it to go and not ease of flight.

I got one of these last week, a lot harder to fly but it has all the controls and flies like a real helicopter

Maybe you should hold off buying one until you find out what your speeding fine will be?
