I would have paid for subs IF the site wasn't funded by other means (Google, Private sponsorship, Zoints et al).

This is my second Plus membership in several years. The site has changed in the time I have been a member. There are many more members now, and owning or having owned a Subaru doesn't seem to be the primary motive for new members, which is a shame.

What bugs me is the 'muppetisation' of many regular threads, the only reason for which is for some members to add to the many pointless thousands of posts they have already made.

I feel that once this plus membership runs out I will not renew, what's the point? The Scoobyshop for example is STILL not up and running (it's been down a few months as it is)

IMHO the benefits of being a plus member, such as they are, do not warrant the price that it is. This is especially true when sifting trough some totally mindless and downright stupid posts and actions by some members, all of which can be done without paying a membership.

I paid to be able to advertise my Scoob when I was selling it. I wouldn't pay to use the site or for any of the extra features which I may get because I'd get no benefit.

I enjoy some of the threads on here - intelligent debate and witty banter, while increasingly rare, is still welcome - and I've 'met' some people whom I am genuinely pleased to know, even in a virtual sense. However, the increasing number of tossers, and I'm not going to dignify them by calling them muppets, trolls and multiple login losers that are appearing makes me less inclined to bother visiting - it's mainly the bike part that keeps me coming back now anyway...

Why is that? An positive interest should suffice. What annoys me more than anything is the disrespect and slagging off of Subarus that goes on by some members. If Audis are so wonderful then **** off to an Audi site for example.

Also this used to be the official Wales Rally forum and was linked to from their site.

True, SN is not the “End All & Be All” or internet forums, but least you can have a laugh on here during the day, helps the working day go a bit quicker, plus there are some genuine people on here
