Greatest ever scary movies
Watching this on C5 now, am a real horror fan but not always of these 100 greatest 'think of a theme' type programs, but am enjoying this.
Bought Land of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Saw on DVD today, slowly growing my collection

i only saw the top ten and some of them i had my hands down my trousers scratching my head
where the fek was Michael Myers and Halloween???
The Exorcist - not a scary film...more disturbing
The Sixth Sense - perhaps you should buy that for your worst horror movie collection
A scary movie needs constant suspense throught the movie that doesnt let up....John Carpenter was the master throught the late 70s early 80s but developed 'directors elbow'
Have to agree that Alien is a suspense masterpiece that deserved number one
Lord Shrek......i dont want to watch the Blair witch project for the second time

the last horror i saw was the us version of the grudge.
It wasn't even really that scarey, but about 2 minutes in some guy in the back of the cinema screamed "Jesus Christ!" and from then on the atmosphere in the whole cinema was electric. my girlfriend's face was buried in my shoulder the whole film.
the atmosphere in that cinema made it a lot more scarey than it should have been.

Sixth Sense 5th - Texas Chainsaw 30th.............these should swap places.
How scary a film is depends on where you 1st watched it, i.e I watched 28 Day Later at the cinema, and the audience was sh1tting it which made it scarier than when watching it at home on DVD.
