Broke my wrist at football last monday and have been in hospital until yesterday and i am now an housebound driver who cant even make a sandwich with out a bit of assistance, even having a bath is a work of art.Ive got this metal work on the outside of my arm that is like carrying a mini climbing frame around with me which seems to bang into everthing causing pain just to remind me.Even the bedroom department is a non starter, just like the sccoby in the garage.....roll on the next 7 to 8 weeks..any words of comfort gratefully recieved preferbly from experienced bone brakees...powerman

How's the MRSA........ ?
Bad luck mate. Must have been a nasty break for a week in hospital. Bones heal quickly though. But you'll be back on the pitch before the season is over (next August ) dl - bust left arm once.

Back in school i was doing the long jump on sports day....going for the record and i broke both my arms and both wrists in 6 places the Doctors said that breaks in both arms were identical, meaning i landed with a 50/50 weight distribution in my arms, a near-impossible feat
Get well soon....

don`t want to put a dampner on you but don`t rely on the broken bones heal ok in 6 - 8 week times that I expect you have been told.
Have been off for the last 3 months with two broken kneecaps and a broken hamstring and recovery is still not going too well.
Know how you feel about not being able to drive, I`ve just sold the scoob due to my accident and looks like it could be a while before I can drive yet.
Hope you heal up ok and get out and about asap.
oh yes
Physio will (may) seem like a waste of time but suggest you stick with it when the time comes.

At least with a broken wrist you can make a cup of tea and actually take it back to the telly, rather than stand next to the kettle and drink it
Get well soon, powerman
