Default Mortgage

Looking at getting a second property to rent out to a family member.

Got a 5% deposit, who is offering the best fixed rate mortgage at the moment? looking at 2,3 or 5 years fixed.

have you considered buying new through a property investment club at a "discounted" price? they can handle this for you. these deals work for some people, but not for others

if you go Buy to Let think you'll need morethan 5% deposit, lowest i'd heard of is 15%.. nornally about 25% with banks.

i've got 5 buy-to-let mortgages.. rangeed from15%-25%

Is buy to let a viable investment in the current financial climate?

DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU BUY, WHERE YOU BUY IT AND HOW MUCH YOU PAY.

I bought this one last November for £45k, the re fit is almost completed now and it will be offered at £395pcm, its bottom end of the market for ppl to rent, don't have any problems getting ppl to rent off me. it s v good return from the rent coming in for the mortgage re payments.

Maybe you could spend some of the income on a wide-angle lens?
