Car accident insurance-y query....
Yesterday got a letter from lawyer saying they had settled with the 3rd party and gave me all my excess money back. What I dont know is how they settled.... i.e. if I get all my money back does that mean they found in my favour as well? Also, got £75 for 'inconvenience'.
Going to phone them tomorrow, as I want to make sure I understand the rationale in case I need to go the ombudsman.
If you are partially to blame, do they keep your excess as well? Obviously I'm well hoping so LOL!!!

From my couple of accidents I have had in the past, you only get your excess back if it is deemed a non fault claim, i.e. you were not to blame.
