Paypal or Cheque payment
Which is the best and most secure method of paying for goods from a distance seller?
I thought cheque as then at least you have a postal address for them but does Paypal have more protection for the buyer?
Thanks
Steve

If you're a buyer PayPal linked to a credit card is pretty good, if PayPal don't sort it you can always fall back on your CC Company to have to sort it out. If your a seller, PP is OK, but nothing beats cash!

Okay what about non delivery off an item paid by paypal with the funds taken straight from your bank account ??
item was sent monday by standard parcels likely should to have arrived by now friday afternoon ( london to scotland )??
just wonder what the process should be should the item not arrive and what chance I have off claiming from paypal for non delivery ??

you open a paypal dispute...(as soon as this is done whatever funds you have paid the seller are automaticly taken from his account and put on hold)..
he can then choose to offer a partial or full refund...
if your not happy then escelate it into a full dispute.
your case will be looked at and TBH if he has no proof of postage you WILL win and they will release the funds from his held account into your account (even if this creates a negative balance on his account)...
just been through this with FB so know the process....
