Who's the best for car finance at the mo?
Looking at getting a new car and just wondering who's the best for finance at the minute?

the bank would probalby be the best bet as they usually offer personal loans at more preferential rates that the car dealers IMO. Why not try www.confused.com and use their loan comparision section

dealerships can normally match banks rates but make no commission which then stops them from discounting the car you want, making as much money as they need to or making the deal worth while for either party.

bit of a silly comment really, not many people could save up £20k say for a new car!!! if they did it would take years!! I bet most of the population have got a loan or finance for cars!

Put it on a credit card and then just keep changing cards. Although with most of them nowadays you have to pay 2% (not sure if it's capped) everytime you swap, so you'll have to work out if this is cheap then getting a loan.

As for mortgages, the difference is that a house will appreciate whereas a car (unless its something VERY special) will not...

You can get one from www.moneybackbank.co.uk who have just lowered their rate to 5.6%
As for getting a 20k loan then it is a bit silly when, unless you get some rare beauty, youll still be paying the loan off when the car is worthless.

All the ***** that advertise on tv that say credit is not a problem are charging anything upto 30%.....like that brighthouse and pay as you view, they charge over the odds for a TV, cooker, sofa etc and screw the **** off you for interest just to rub salt in the wounds

If anything buying something when you cant afford is is being pretentious as you are trying to give off a false impression. I have only ever had things that I can afford and when I did buy an expensive car (one of the cars I still have) I feel so bad because Ive lost over 13k which pains me so!

Motley Fool compare a range of loans, or http://www.broker4cars.co.uk offer PCP deals at 7.2% apr, last time i looked anyway.
