Its less than a month, usually 3 weeks. You can pay a bit more to get it prechecked at the PO, which IIRC brings it down to a minimum of 2 weeks

So you're fine!

i had to go to the London office yesterday. you can wait 4 hours and get it the same day £96.50 or go there to hand the papers in and they can post it out in a week so you dont have to wait £73.?? its guaranteed to take no loger than a week.

its £83 for a child.
ON 4th OCT THE PRICES GO UP £20

i forgot something and have to go through the whole process again next week

thik its about 4-5 weeks by post

when i looked on the website it said not to turn up without a appointment, you have to give all your details, age etc over the phone, before they give you one. i think they do checks on you before they see you. i saw the security turn people away at the door when i was there.
i had to make another appointment for next wednesday, i fly out on Saturday, getting a bit worried now as i cant book the hotel till i have my daughters passport. i know i will get it wrong again

I went down to the Newport Passport office. They checked my paperwork etc and I had the passport 2 days later That was a while ago before the appointment system came in, 15 minute wait in the queue ( only 4 people deep) and away we came
