Default Any CRT deals around?

Hello

I'm looking for a 32" Widescreen TV (CRT). Has anyone seen any offers around? I would like a named brand (Phillips, Samsung etc..).

It is getting increasingly difficult to find a non-LCD/Plasma TV and I can't quite justify spending that kind of money right now.

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks. I don't really want a rear projection television, although I have noticed they are getting cheaper.

Rear Projection pictures are cack when viewed at angles ... but, I must say, the picture quality blows away Plasmas/LCDs at a fraction of the cost!

Hello

I bought a Toshiba in the end. Still couldn't justify an LCD, even though they look cool!

Hello

Yes, I read that. I have the 36" one as well. I decided I'd buy it anyway as it was a very good deal from my local retailer (who just wanted the space I'm sure!).

I was going to buy the Samsung 32" HD one, but that had SO many complaints that I really was put off of that.

Apparently they have 2 common faults. Onc can be cure dby just unplugging the teletext card. The second requires an engineer visit. What do you think of the TV? I love ours, but then again, it only cost us £250 new.

boxst, where did you buy it from and what is the model number/price etc?

I still think CRT does the best job of displaying freeview/analogue as it is very sympathetic to average signals. My 28" CRT 4:3 Goodmans (!) just went to the recycling centre as it failed the other night and I don't think is economical to repair. Even in there it looked old and outdated. 36" widescreen will be nice after this

Hello

I paid £500 for it from a local retailer after bargaining quite hard so I'm not sure how the person above got it for £250. It is a Toshiba 36ZP48P, and you can't really get them anymore and in fact will be hard pushed to find anything comparable.

The only other television I liked was the Samsung WS32Z419D which is 32", but it appears to have lots of problems (according to AVForums).
