HDTV - advice needed please
I know its been done to death on here ever since HDTV came out but models are always changing and so are the prices.
I am very close to getting a 32" HDTV but am concerned about what a lot of people are saying on forums about watching normal TV on them.
I was going to get the Samsung LE32R74BDX but apparently while being excellent at HDTV its normal TV quality is poor.
I will be using the HDTV for Xbox 360, possibly plugging my PC into and as a normal telly with freeview, no sky hdtv or hd dvd as of yet. Also want to put it on a basic (cheap!) wall bracket.
What model do the SN experts recomend for about £800 tops thats got a good rating for normal TV viewing? I can get the Samsung for £750 so can this be bettered in terms of quality for similar money?
Apologies if everyone is bored with these same old same old threads but I want to make sure I buy the right model for what I need.

I'd get a plasma mate.
Sent my 42" Toshiba LCD back to retailer and getting the same size Plasma, picture is 300% better.
LCD's are still a good few years away from picture excellence
Just my opinion

Does a 360 look just as good on a large lcd pc monitor?

The picture is much much better than LCD. If you look at the two side by side, with the same source, then I guarantee you will buy the plasma.
Take a look at www.avforums.com if you need more information or to read the proper debates which are taking place, not scaremongering.
Please spend wisely!

I have that exact TV and while it can highlight poor quality TV transmission, for example watching the World Cup on the BBC looked great (not in HD) but looked pretty awful on ITV. Otherwise it looks great in either Hi-Def or Pleb-Def.
