I can't beleive that people are using a thumbs up sign cause diesel is at 92.9p per litre.

We're still being shafted up the preverbial back passage

I was 97.9 for a few months there. Every penny helps, i would love it to be back to 80p a litre but thats never going to happen

Filled up with SUL at 90.9 yesterday.

Not bad as it was 107.9 in my local Esso a bit back.

92.9p Tesco 99.

Couldnt believe it

Esso Supreme 99.9p and BP Ultimate 98.9 V-Power 96.9

Where on earth do BP/Esso get off on charging more for a lower performing fuel!

Quite astute really.

Everyone complains when petrol gets to 80p a litre and threaten to bring the country to its knees.

Whack the price up past £1 a litre for a time and then drop it to 89.9p and everyone thinks the Government is wonderful.

Lambs to the slaughter.

I've noticed that as Shell UL price falls back, V-Power prices stay constant so differential price is now about 10p.
UL vs Optimax difference was 6p in the good old days.
They'll try any old trick to wring out extra profit from us

Got nothing to do with the government. They get the same whatever the garages charge. OK there's a small amount of vat lost from the 10p drop (basically 1.7p) but most of it 47p IIRC is duty.

I'm paying under a quid for V-Power. Can't remember the last time it was under a quid tbh.

Don't make sense down here. We are surrounded by oil refineries yet the cost of fuel here is particularly high.

While he think that he's going to be the next PM, I doubt that will ever happen.

Thanks for those comments. I have seen the error of my ways after reading the compelling argument you put forward in favour of our revered government and apologise unreservedly.

I wasn't particularly thinking about the revenue that they claim from petrol tax in general which is obscene compared to other European governments. But have you never heard of this thing called income tax.....as well as taxing you on the petrol you are also taxed on what you earn. So you are taxed twice for the same thing. Can you follow this or are you a clueless prat as well as an inspired debater?

I know exactly the pricing structure of the petrol thanks, but any recent rises or decreases have had nothing at all to do with the government so why even bring it up in the first place making yourself look stupid?
