No, I hate it , all started after the building I used to work in was hit by lightning twice in two days. Do you think if I ring Injury Lawyers4U I can sue the place I worked for putting me in a big blue metal building in a thunder storm?

Hello

Yes in Crowborough, and I've just come home and my electric gates wouldn't work. I'm absolutely soaked!

Forecasters Warning

-- Thunderstorms --

Areas Affected: -Southern & South-east England, Midlands, Central & Eastern England -

Developments across parts of France this afternoon are likely to bring a high risk of imported thunderstorms with possible super cells embedded into parts of Southern England this afternoon.

Hail, heavy rain and strong gusty winds are likely in the paths of the storms with a low risk of tornadoes and water spouts along the South coast.

During this evening, the risk will spread North into Eastern England and later North-east England, however the primary risk is for Southern and South-east England.

This weather watch will be upgraded/updated during today as developments take place.

Being in any kind of earthed metal structure is the safest place to be in a thunderstorm.

Some mental lightning and thunder last night in Reigate, followed by a hurrendous downpour.

Still, the grass needs it

Loads of it in Purley. Got a good view from my house. Amazing how it lights up the place.

Not that bad where I was. It lasted an hour (12:15-01:15) but I only heard thunder roughly every 7 mins and it was always 8-10 seconds away.

I didn't see much lightening because I had the lights on, but the lines across the tv were a giveaway (yes I know watching tv was wrong).

Pretty spectular over the South Downs area

Perhaps in 50 years they will have found a way to harness all that energy - should run Britain for a few days?
