voltmeter question
ok prob going to tim tim nice but dim but how the hell do you use a volt meter properly? so many diff bits to turn it too
just about found the right one to read voltage lol
anyways how about finding an earth or testing a wire end to end to see if theres a break etc?

Not being nasty, but if you don't know, then give up. Ask someone who knows how to use one.
FWIW, for a continuation test, you need to use the continuity test function, aka the "beep test"......
The crude way of doing it is to tap both probes together and turn the control until it beeps.....
However, some mutlimeters don't have contunity test, hence you have to do it the "voltage drop" way....that's when you give it to somebody who's qualified
