it will be probably be just a cry for help, and not really any intention of doing it
I was at Rampton the day they brought him in, ironically Rampton is next door to a gun club, and a school !!!, anyway they should let the gun club owners use him for occasional target practise, just enough so he starts healing till they are ready again

He should not be allowed to try and OD. He should be tortured very very slowly to death over a course of many many years. I'd be more than happy for tax payments to be used if this was actually what would happen to him, alas he'll sit in a little cell. As for rehabilitation, I don't think he deserves to even be allowed to be rehabilitated, he should be required to be in intolerable, excrutiating pain for the rest of his worthless life.

I read a book about the case while I was on holiday recently - some nice poolside reading! It went into great detail about his upbringing and none of it excused his behaviour in the slightest.
The only way I think he should die is if the state decides it - i.e. sentenced to death. Of course, some will argue that mistakes can be made where a country has the death penalty option, but I think in cases like this, where there is probably no-one in the land who will say it wasn't him, he should have been executed for the absolutely horrendous crime he commited.
Otherwise, every one of our taxes every year goes towards keeping him fed, clothed, roof over his head, access to medical care, use of the gym, telly, magazines, books etc. There are homeless people out there wandering around the streets who don't have that - our taxes could be better spent instead of keeping that scum Huntley alive.
The only thing I think is that he shouldnt be allowed to decide when he dies - I hope the prison carries out an in-depth study into how he was able to do it this time.

I think it would be better over-all if he died from one of these attemps.
by the time his 40 years are up he's going to be mid 70's and pleading for release in the same way Mira Hindley did, it just keeps the ordeal alive for the parents. Consideration for the families should be formost in deciding what his future should be.
Let them remember their children in piece, without having to ever think about the scum Huntley again.

[Guardian reader mode on]Lay off him, he's done something bad, but now he is doing the time in prison and that is fair, because everyone deserves a second chance and to be rehabilitated. He's probably a really nice bloke if given the chance[/Guardian reader mode off]

Why is he even on the news etc. If he kills himself then so what. I won't miss paying to keep him alive. Hopefully he succeeds soon and manages to top himself. He's not worthy of attention now.

**** me, i would forget to lock his cell, have bubba move in next door, and leave as many bottles of paracetamol around as i could
why spend al that cash on keeping the useless ****** alive???
lets face it, when he gets out (NL always let them out eventually) he,ll get police protection for life. i,d move him to an open prison and having him sweeping the motorways for his day job, wonder how long he,d last!!! bet they,d be queing up to sideswipe, sorry miss him!!
