Default Selling Shares, bought over a period of time

If someone was to buy a regular amount of shares in one particular company, say 10 a month for example, although he would pay commission every time he purchased them, would he have to pay commission just once when it was time to sell, or would each purchase have to be sold seperatly? They would all be in the same company

I hope that makes sense

Sell as many as you like, you own them............

Just one commission per sale... so buy them in 'lots' and sell them all in one go if you want........

But don't forget you are taxed on selling over 7K (you need to check this figure) in any one year....

Surely you only pay tax - capital gains - if you make £7K (or the current CGT limit) in profit and not the fact that you happen to have sold £7K worth of shares.

The best thing to do is go with www.igindex.co.uk where you can buy or sell as little as you like, practically, for actually less inital outlay than paper shares (assuming you allow enough margin for projected risk) and can buy or sell within seconds of your own accord.

And, you don't pay CGT.......

And in that case you would be stupid to place bets on shares, forex is far more predictable.

Placing a "bet" on shares is absolutely no different to buying paper shares, I occaisonally do forex but prefer to work on certain sectors.
