Cracking Joints
Nope, sorry the title is way better than the thread will ever be.
Anyone else have joints that crack ?, mine do it all the time, seems to be a family trait, apparently its called Cavitation, doesnt hurt and its always done it, just annoying when your thumb locks in the middle of a race in PGR3, its loud as well it sometimes wakes the wife up if shes just nodding off.
Both Elbows, Both thumbs and my right ankle, I get up and its like gunfire, Doctor says theres nothing you can do about it, suggested Cod Liver oil nut that made no difference and I had cat breath.
Personally I reckon its down to me brushing against a Muslim in 1978, Damn, I couldnt post a thread without sneaking a Muslim in.

I have this in both thumbs and my left ankle.
My morning routine invlolves waking up, farting, cracking my thumbs, beating a muslim and then walking to the loo while cracking my ankle into place.

No joints to crack here but sometimes I get bones behind my knee on the back of my leg twist and make a loud cracking noise, bl00dy hurts aswell. Happened last night at football training, everybody within 30yards heard it.

Yeah, I get it too. I crack My:
Knuckles
Fingers
Both Elbows
Both Knees
Feet
Angles.
I can't help myself, I do it without realising it. I get funny looks off all my mates, and strangers, when in a pub I crack all crackable joints one after the other.

It's basically escaping gases. Synovial fluid present in your joints acts as a lubricant. The fluid contains the gases oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. When you pop or crack a joint, you stretch the joint capsule. Gas is rapidly released, which forms bubbles. In order to crack the same knuckle again, you have to wait until the gases return to the synovial fluid.
