Ok, we have established that a "massive" 25 users are supporting BNP's policies.

Now. Unlike some here, these as well as I may note that this party "claims" not to be racist. And, unlike other parties they have arguably a hard lined manifesto that hits many home truths in tackling the problems in the UK. Ad thus gain support solely on that. As with what can be seen with Labour's success - which prooves all it takes is a fancy manifesto and good image to get into power. For now BNP lack the latter, that maybe a good thing if the claims of the party's underlying fundamental goals are true.

Now. Note that people may give the party the benefit of the doubt.

Thus it has been noted that people ignorantly label somebody who votes as such on purely the manifesto = racist. When it is arguably not the case.

The comments on other threads, as well my previous one prooves this (the reason me starting it) .

So lets cut to the chase:


Now bear in mind (especially Rabid) If you hate the French - you are Racist. And that goes for any other non-muslim culture.

I consider the BNP an extreme, fanatical organisation, the leaders of which have been linked with race hate crimes.

I wouldn't label EVERYONE who "supports" the BNP a racist, but I would imagine anyone who considers "supporting" them as probably scared, confused, frustrated and potentially ignorant of the wildly irrational views that the BNP hold. Added to a feeling of being let down by their current government, and these people become easy targets for extreme groups such as the BNP.

The worrying, and the ironic thing is, these are the methods and circumstances used by groups such as Al Qaeda and other militia, disaffected, easily led people with feelings of frustration and fear are being brain washed by other extremists with their own agenda........

I'm afraid that the older I get, the more racist I seem to become.

The thought of my son not getting a decent education or quick access to a doctor when he needs one, or worse, a hospital when he needs one because of the flood of (illegal) immigrants in this country quite frankly frightens me.

I read Ricky Tomlinson's autobiograpy recently and thought it was fantastic. He was a member of the NF back in the 70's! He was concerned about the job opportunities for his children when they became of working age and the potential state of the NHS. How right he was.

I hadn't realised immigration was an issue in the 70's, but it was.....

You are right, Shrek. Different ways of living, cultures and traditions will be mocked by the people from other culture.It is inevitable.But, in a civilised developed world, prejudice agaist colour/ looks is a bit too childish.
Same goes for the offensive words being used to denote someone's race.Knowing that such words are offensive, why justify it and, spend hours on doing so ? Too much time in hand or, internet being used as to reflect one's mind?

Anyway, it all boils down to personal thoughts.

I'm a realist - if someone says "i'm off down to the paki shop", I don't start ranting and raving at them and thinking they are part of white power, national front, or the BNP.

Same as if someone calls 'ME' a mong for making a mistake, I take it in the spirit it is meant. I don't genuinely think the person is calling me a mongoloid.

It's called common sense, I get called a jock which is the same as paki but i'm not going to burn the persons house down or declare jihad on them

What do you think "Non-Scooby Related" actually means then? Bear in mind, we have "Other Marques" for car talk. These topics of discussion have been with scoobynet for many years.

Most of which was segregated to the former "Current World Events" section, until it was disbanded. Now it has just spilled into Non-Scooby Related.

Granted that some of the users and their purposely inflamatory vocal outlandish/trolling viewpoints was repsonsible for the removal of CWE. And now are also responsible for lowing the tone of NSR.

I for one would be happy if the CWE was restored so they coul have their little play penn and soap box back, hidden in a sub-section which everyone can easily ignore.

Honestly speaking, If you say in front of me that you are going to a Paki shop, I will find it distasteful.
P, M & S words being used persistantly only shows ignorance IMO.
Humour can be generated without using those words and, race can be denoted by other words than the offensive ones.
But, my reaction is realistic upon the use of such words.

am I racist for taking the **** out of the Germans that I live and work with?

If so then I hold my hands up to it, but I am living in their country and don't see my self as racist, it is just banter the we exchange. They give as good as they get so are they racist aswell or are we just having a laugh and getting on, I do not hate or feel racist towards the Germans however I do feel that their way of live is sometimes questionable and the laws rules and regs leave a lot to be desired. The Germans do seem to live in a black and white world which with me being English do not always fit into. I have been told by some of my colleagues that they like me because I see things differently to them because I don't see the world in regimented black and white which is helpfull to them.
