Anyone looking for a GPS?
I just noticed that Garmin have discontinued their GPSMAP 60CS to replace it with a version that can take removable SD cards. The old version has an electronic compass and can take maps downloaded from a PC, it can also take the street maps and so behave just like the Garmin in-car GPS systems except for the spoken directions.

The reason I mention this is because I have seen these devices being sold as end of line stock for £200 which I think is pretty good value for anyone looking for most of the fancy features without paying over £350. The UK TOPO (i.e. countryside OS) maps are about £130 and I think if you want the street map/in-car type facilities then the maps are maybe as much as £300ish for the all Europe maps.
I've no experience with the unit myself but thought that it might interest some at this price, despite being discontinued it probably does everything you could want a GPS to do plus a bit more.
