Season 3 Episode 1 "A Tale of Two Cities" is aired 4th October at 9pm on ABC (in the states)
Episodes 1-6 will be aired through October and November followed by Episode 7 airing January! Usual large gaps between episodes!

They did that in season 2 aswell. They have the gap over christmas. I cant remember the reason behind it though. I'll probably watch episode one. wait until theyre on episode 12 and then download them all in one go so I can watch them together rather than waiting every week.

LOL I didn't know there were going to be 24 episodes in the first series though
I've read up up happens in series 2. I believe there is a 'catch up' episode mid way through series 2? might be worth watching that one for anyone that's interested in it.
