Default Ebay Car Buyers Beware

It seems very hard nowdays not to run into a scam, I have alot of experience with ebay but this has got to be out of order. I made an offer to someone on buying an Audi A3 which he accepted. It just seemed too good to be true which it is.

This guy is buying wallpapers off ebay to get more positive ratings and clocks cars for a living:

Bough the car with very high mileage:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=4651166464

Now trying to sell it with average mileage:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...DME:L:RTQ:UK:1

Very Bad and it seems like he has already sold some cars before

Buyers Beware

Shop it to e-bay, and suggest they pull the ad. It's clearly clocked so there should be no question about it. Oh, and drop a line to your local plod or trading standards showing them the two adverts as they should take an interest....

Thats the problem with eBay, you can't just report anything cause you have to follow there leading question system, it does need a report option button.

Your not meant to sell links of things like that but there still on there and it's more hassle then it's worth to contact them.

Make copy of html ad and report to police, handing them the evidence.

If you report it to eBay, the ad will be removed and you wont see it. However, seller just re-registers or sells elsewhere and still gets away with it.

Better still, go to view the car, say you're interested, on the spot make a call to hpi then phone the police informing them that an illegal activity is going on.

I googled his mobile numner:

http://www.movethat.co.uk/London/My/Acton/?i=194048&p=0

http://www.gumtree.com/london/12/4595312.html

Looks like clocking A3s could be his thing. The one on Gumtree has a mere 93k, so probably really has nearer 200k.

Anyone got a flat they want to share with him?

How come the car now has half the mileage showing on it, than it did when you bought it 2 months ago. How did you manage to spend £1200 on alloys that were fitted on the car when you bought it. Why did you include the same spelling errors in your listing, that the original listing had. Are you sure you didn't mis-spell your user name, I'm sure you've substituted an 'O' for an 'I'.

Thank you,
eBay

And what will the police do ????? Fcukall that's what.

Report the car as speeding in a 30mph zone, doing at least 70mph, and they might then go round.
Happened to me. A guy who doesn't like me, or more like my car reported me for speeding through the Village. Plod duly came out for a word. I wasn't even speeding !!

It's perfectly legal to lower your car's milage. There are companies out there that will happily do it for you.

It does become illegal however when you sell it.

Why allow it in the first place ? Why would someone want to lower their cars milage, if it's not for the purpose of selling it for more money?

Perhaps send a message to anybody who bids on it with the url of this thread.

We know it goes on but having a 'live one' so to speak is quite interesting.

Cant be worth that much more even with the haircut, right skanky looking thing, and its a 1.6.
