Ideas for Honeymoon - Please !
Wouldn't usually post something like this with it being such a personal choice, but we're struggling to find a honeymoon destination for the end of March next year.
We had our hearts set on a Carribbean cruise, however, these hopes were dashed when the travel agent said they all set off a week after we get married - too much of a gap.
Our budget is about £2500 per person. We want an *exclusive* relaxing holiday in the sun, prefferably by a beach, and all inclusive.
Any sugestions very much appreciated.
Matt

We went to Desroches Island, Seychelles. Only about 10 other guests on the island at any one time while we were there, totally peaceful, good food included, enough palm-tree lined beach to have you own private paradise. A bit over your budget, but we went for 14 days.

Have you thought of cruise? Princess do one in March around french polynesia. Visits Hawaii etc. Get to see lots of different beaches while being based in the same luxury floating hotel. Also cruises to Australia and Mexico that time of year.

Palm Island in the Grenadines. Private, beautiful and will just about fit in your price.

I can vouch for this hotel. ****in top notch facilities friendly people and arguably the best golf course in the country, and probably better than the best in this country too.
The amount of celebrities that have stayed there is amazing too. It has seen the likes of boys 2 men, isley brothers, some famous rockstars who I forgot the name too aswell.

Id also say the Maldives. Youd get more for your money than in the Seychelles. You should get some top notch accomodation with AI for that price per person. March is one of the best months to go as well.

Try one of these Aman hotels. I can personally vouch for Amanusa in Bali and Amanpuri in Thailand.

It was pure luxury then so not sure what they could have improved on over the last decade plus Jamaica rocks and Dunns River Falls is one of the most amazing places to visit http://www.dunnsriverja.com/about_us_link.htm

We went on a 2-week cruise of the med, leaving Majorca on a Tuesday night - took in places like Rome, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Ibiza, Barcelona, Tunisia, Sorento, Pompeii, Menorca etc.
Went with Ocean Village - no complaints at all. Worked out about £1.8K per person if I recall. Weather was excellent apart from one night when the sea was a bit choppy.

Heron Island on the GBR.
I went there as part of a dive holiday, totally exclusive island, no day tripper tourists, no un weildy kids running amok
The only things there are the wildlife and the reef (apart from your cabin near the beach, well where ever you stand is near the beach as you can walk across the island in about 5 mins..
Hope you both like nature and getting wet cos that's about all there is to do.
or if it's the right time of year watch the turtles come to the beach and lay / uncover their little ones... fantastic.

we had 3 nights in havana and 11 nights at sandals in varadero. as someone said earlier, it was a little cheesy at times, but the service was very good and standards were reasonably high. we would go back to another sandals resort basedon what we saw at varadero. the thomson rep on the other hand was, in my opinion, crap. we didn;t know she existed until the day we left. any problems were sorted by the staff in the resort - and we had fund listening to the complaints from the canadians complaining that their friends down the road in another resort had more tv channels than them etc etc
